Anna Bjerde, Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, will be on her first official visit to Ukraine on September 12-15, 2021.
This is reported by UA with the reference to the World Bank.
Anna Bjerde will meet with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal and other government officials. She will also hold meetings with representatives of foreign embassies, partners from international development organizations, representatives of the Ukrainian scientific community.
Also the Vice President of World Bank will visit a private farm. She plans to get acquainted with the implementation of land reform, which is supported by the World Bank.
Anna Bjerde from Sweden has been the World Bank’s Vice President for Europe and Central Asia since May 1, 2020. In this position, she leads the strategic, analytical, operational work of the Bank and the exchange of knowledge in the region.
