Only the joint efforts of the international community can change the situation regarding Crimea.
This was stated by the Minister of Great Britain for European Neighborhood and America Wendy Morton during a speech at the summit Crimea Platform, UA informs.
“We will never recognize this occupation. This platform calls on all of us to increase global attention and involvement in the issue of Crimea under the leadership of Ukraine” – she stressed.
Wendy Morton noted that the United Kingdom supports Ukraine’s steps to expand discussions on key issues. Whether it is the increasingly alarming deterioration of the environment or the increase in security risks in the Black and Azov Seas.
“We can turn the situation only if we all work together. The UK is now showing a commitment to work alongside all of you to ensure that this platform achieves its goals” – said Wendy Morton.
Earlier, the United Kingdom has transferred to Ukraine the research ship “James Clark Ross” for carrying out Antarctic missions.
To remind, earlier Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba reported that the Crimean platform will work at three levels: intergovernmental, interparliamentary, and expert level.
