Trade and economic cooperation was discussed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with Emir of the State of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the UN Climate Conference COP26 in Glasgow (Great Britain).

The interlocutors discussed the possibility of intensifying bilateral trade, as well as mechanisms for implementing the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Ukraine to Qatar in April 2021, in particular in the food and investment spheres.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the development of military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
The interlocutors also discussed the possibility and conditions of supplying Qatari liquefied natural gas to Ukraine.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Qatari side for assistance in evacuating Ukrainian citizens from Afghanistan and stressed the importance of further cooperation in this direction, and renewed the invitation of the Emir of Qatar to visit Ukraine.
To remind, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will speak at the UN conference in Glasgow on November 1.
