Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada voted to dismiss Oleksandr Danylyuk from the position of the Minister of Finance of Ukraine.

As an Ukrinform correspondent reported, 254 lawmakers voted in favor.

On Wednesday, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget endorsed the draft Cabinet’s decision to dismiss Danylyuk.

The former official had a fallout with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

He said that for the past year he was subjected to pressure. Specifically, he said he was required to support the program “Subventions for the social and economic development of the regions,” which, according to him, means “giving money for projects of lawmakers from majority constituencies.”
