Ukraine remains one of the main hubs for cybercriminals. In 2021, the Office of the Prosecutor General received more than 70 requests from foreign countries to investigate cybercrime crimes.
The general prosecutor Iryna Venediktova noted, UA reports.
During a break at the International Cyber Security Forum, she told reporters that Ukrainian law enforcement could demonstrate effective work.
“When we say that Ukrainian law enforcement officers can cooperate with the FBI, Eurojust and other colleagues of other law enforcement agencies, it shows that Ukraine is becoming a reliable partner in such relations” – Venediktova said.

According to her, earlier this year, foreign colleagues expressed distrust in cooperating with Ukrainian law enforcement agencies on cybercrime.
“When the first implementations with German prosecutors came, they didn’t even want to give us materials and said off-rec: what can you do with Ukrainian colleagues – just wait for these materials to be merged, and the materials have something to merge, so to speak” – the Prosecutor General added.
She noted that the Office of the Prosecutor General, as the central body for international cooperation, constantly takes measures to ensure the quality of requests for international legal assistance from the competent authorities of foreign countries in cases of transnational crimes involving international cyber groups.
