U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has announced restrictive measures against the two vessels and Russia-linked Transadria LtD. They are involved in the construction of the Nord Stream-2 pipeline.
This is reported by UA.
Blinken said that in connection with this project, the United States has already imposed sanctions on a total of 8 legal entities or individuals and 17 vessels belonging to them.
“Although the US administration continues to oppose the Nord Stream-2 pipeline, in particular through our sanctions, we continue to work with Germany and other allies and partners to reduce the risks associated with the pipeline to Ukraine, NATO and EU countries, and to repel Russia’s harmful activities, particularly in the energy sector” – Blinken said.
To remind, on November 16, the Federal Agency for Networks of Germany suspended the certification of the pipeline due to non-compliance with German law.
