Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba described the meeting between Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelenskyy as allied and friendly.

This is reported by UA with reference to the video message of the Foreign Minister on Facebook.

According to him, the topic of security was key at the meeting of presidents. It lasted 2 hours 10 minutes.

“The security of Ukraine is the main topic. It included NATO, the security of the Black Sea, strengthening the defensive potentialities of Ukraine and Nord Stream 2. Because you know that this topic is a security issue for Ukraine, not an economy” – Kuleba said.

The minister also said that they brought up a question for the future, new ideas requiring discussion by the leaders directly.

“I think for the first time in 30 years the tone of the conversation was friendly. President Biden personally supports Ukraine, and President Zelenskyy appreciates this support on behalf of the people of Ukraine. But at the same time it was a very frank conversation” – said Kuleba.

The presidents spoke frankly, without diplomacy, like the leaders of two strong countries. This, according to Dmytro Kuleba, once again proves the allied nature of relations between the United States and Ukraine.

To remind, Ukraine and the United States will adopt a new charter of strategic partnership, and will also consider a plan for transforming Ukraine at a meeting of the updated commission on strategic partnership.
