The situation with the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine, the course of vaccination, the provision of hospitals with oxygen and business support in the “red” level of epidemic danger were discussed at a conference call chaired by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
This is reported by UA with reference to the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
According to the Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the tendency to increase the number of patients with COVID-19 continues: last week at the peak of the incidence was detected 27.3 thousand new cases per day, and the total number of new patients remains two weeks in a row at 152 thousand persons. However, according to the head of government, we can talk about some stabilization in terms of hospitalizations: 34.5 thousand last week and 34.3 thousand – a week earlier.
Currently, 17 regions of Ukraine are in the “red” zone of epidemic danger. In the Kherson region, the dynamics are improving somewhat, which may allow the region to be one of the first to leave the “red” zone.
At the same time, it was stated that the number of patients with coronavirus in Kyiv is growing. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov emphasized the need to ensure a stable supply of oxygen to the capital’s hospitals.

Denys Shmyhal also reminded that the government decree № 1096 came into force today, according to which representatives of certain professions, including teachers and civil servants, who are not vaccinated, should be suspended from work. 100 percent of vaccinated teachers now work in educational institutions, including offline ones.
The Minister of Health Viktor Liashko reported to the President on the course of vaccination of the population. According to him, a total of 11.5 million people have already been vaccinated in Ukraine, including 8 million people in two doses. However, this weekend a decrease in the number of vaccinations was recorded in a number of regions, including Zhytomyr and Odesa. An investigation is underway to find out why some vaccination centers did not work in these regions.
According to the head of the Ministry of Health, medical students are actively involved in work in vaccination centers, and interns are also involved in working with hospitalized patients with COVID-19.
He also said that since September, the Ministry has analyzed the work of all “covid” hospitals, and noted that this week doctors will receive a 300% surcharge for working with patients with COVID-19.
To remind, in Ukraine on November 7, 13 068 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded, 85 083 people were vaccinated against a coronavirus.
