Any Russian military invasion of Ukraine would be a huge strategic mistake with serious consequences.
This is reported by UA, citing an interview with UK Foreign and International Development Minister Liz Truss to the BBC.
As noted, the UK is working closely with allies and partners to draw Russia’s attention to the fact that the country does not agree with its plans to undermine the sovereignty of neighboring states.
Truss also stressed that Russia must stop its aggression and embark on a diplomatic path to resolve issues.
“At a NATO-Russia Council meeting on Wednesday, the UK, along with our allies, will tell Russia that building up a military presence on Ukraine’s borders is absolutely unacceptable” – Liz Truss said in a statement.
