President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced readiness to expand sanctions against the Russian Federation for new aggressive actions.

According to Ursula von der Leyen, any further aggressive actions against Ukraine will be of high cost for Russia.
“We can increase and expand the existing sanctions, or approve new ones, if necessary” – said President of the EC.
The official also said that in the Normandy format, Germany and France play the role of moderators and observers, and Russia is one of the parties to the armed conflict in Donbas.
Earlier, the President met with the President of the European Council.
