Slovak President Peter Pellegrini has claimed that his state is able to increase electricity supplies to Ukraine in autumn and winter.

Pellegrini said at a joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda, according to Pravda.

“Since the beginning of the war, we have already exported more than 40,000 megawatts of electricity to Ukraine, and we are going to increase supplies in autumn and winter, which will probably be crucial for Ukraine,” he stated.

Pellegrini announced that he is going to meet Ukraine’s president for the first time soon and assured that Slovakia is in a lot of contact with Ukraine despite the policy of Fico’s government.

Additionally, ahead of the NATO summit in Washington, Slovakia’s leader has announced that Slovakia is willing to host more NATO soldiers.
