One of Russia’s goals is to try to occupy the government district in Kyiv. Adviser to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podoliak announced it during a briefing.
“Currently, there harsh battles in Hostomel (35 km from Kyiv, – ed.) continue. And an attempt to break into the government quarter is possible. I said that one of the goals is to remove the country’s top leadership,” he explained.
According to Podoliak, this is the psychology of war. The Russian government wants to get the most out of its initiative while people are shocked, including the Russians.
