In the first half of 2021, the volume of money transfers to Ukraine from abroad increased by 15.9% compared to the same period last year and amounted to USD 6.2 billion.
UA reports this with reference to the Facebook page of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
Over the same period, USD 482 million was sent from Ukraine abroad.
The NBU clarified that Ukraine remains a recipient country of cross-border transfers. During the first half of the year, the amount of funds received in Ukraine using international transfer systems is five times higher than the amount of funds sent outside of Ukraine.
The most transfers to Ukraine were made from the USA, Israel, and Italy.
To remind, most of the money transfers from Ukraine were sent to Russia and Georgia.
