The detention and arrest of 5 Crimean Tatars in the Russian-occupied Crimea is revenge and mopping up.
UA informs this with reference to the statement of the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Emine Dzhaparova.
“Unfortunately, this is a systemic history, we understand that the purpose of such actions is very simple: paralysis, to introduce people into such conditions of fear, so that everyone understands what can be next, so that there is no resistance. This is such a cleanup. Five detainees are activists, people who attended court hearings and helped their relatives. I think this is an act of revenge” – said Emine Dzhaparova.
She also noted that political prisoners held in Russia receive assistance, which is financed by Ukraine through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Political prisoners who are now either in the occupied Crimea, or in Rostov-on-Don, in other parts of Russia, have consular protection of lawyers funded by Ukraine” – the minister added.
Earlier Emine Dzhaparova told what awaits the participants of the summit of the Crimean platform.
