President Volodymyr Zelenskyy summarized the outcomes of the fourth Ukraine-Northern Europe summit, during which the issue of supplying additional air defense systems to Ukraine was discussed.

He reported this on his Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian leader shared that the summit focused on how to deliver additional air defense systems to Ukraine, including Patriot systems.

During the summit, an agreement was also reached to increase defense production both in Ukraine and among its partners. Additionally, Zelenskyy emphasized that all Nordic partners supported Ukraine’s “victory plan.”

“We discussed in detail our need for geopolitical certainty. An invitation for Ukraine to NATO is a way to strengthen not only Ukraine but also all partners in the Alliance,” he added.

As is known, Zelenskyy, during a bilateral meeting with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Reykjavik, talked about the possibility of Denmark participating in the training of a Ukrainian brigade, among other topics.

It is worth noting that at the beginning of October, the first Patriot missile defense system arrived in Ukraine, which Romania agreed to transfer, a decision that was finalized in September.

In total, NATO allies promised to deliver seven air defense systems to Kyiv, but former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba noted earlier that some promised Patriot systems are delayed.

On October 29, it was reported that Norway allocated 120 million euros for the purchase of a new Patriot missile defense system for Romania, replacing the one it recently transferred to Ukraine.
