The teams of Zelenskyy and Trump have agreed to start preparations for a meeting.

This was announced by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha during a joint press conference with EU High Representative Josep Borrell in Kyiv, as reported by a Ukrinform correspondent.

“Possible future contacts at the leadership level were discussed, and it was agreed that the teams would begin practical preparatory work to organize such a meeting,” Sybiha said, commenting on the phone conversation between Zelenskyy and Trump.

“Obviously, global changes of this nature (the U.S. presidential election — ed.) are always an opportunity and a chance to accelerate the achievement of a just peace for Ukraine,” Sybiha emphasized.

He also reminded that one of the elements of President Zelenskyy’s Peace Plan is Ukraine’s invitation to NATO.
