President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that if partners do not support his “victory plan,” it will become a privilege for Russia and a significant mistake.

Zelenskyy made this remark at a briefing in Brussels after participating in the European Council meeting, where he presented the “victory plan.”

The president emphasized that the plan includes weapons, an invitation to NATO, and economic strengthening, which will ensure that investments will come to Ukraine and that its resources will be protected from Russia or its allies.

“If we don’t receive support, it will be very difficult for us. This will be a privilege from the world to Russia. Ukraine’s weakness is Russia’s strength. And I think this would be a great mistake,” Zelenskyy asserted.

“We can talk about an invitation to NATO, as well as a deterrent package and a long-range weapons package—we can have all of this preventively. This is not yet NATO membership; it’s an invitation. But it signifies that we will be there, that Ukraine is not alone,” the head of state added.

The president also noted that at the EU summit, 18 partners commented on his “victory plan.”

It is worth recalling that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, commenting on the “victory plan” presented by President Zelenskyy, stated that there are decisions he has made, and they “will not change.”

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda noted that he did not see anything new in President Zelenskyy’s “victory plan,” as most of the points are aspects on which the EU is still hesitant.
