Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Brussels to participate in a meeting of the European Council on June 27.
He stated this on X.
According to Zelenskyy, he is to come back from Brussels with 3 security agreements.
“I will meet with the leaders of the EU and its Member States and hold bilateral talks. We will sign three security agreements, including one with the EU as a whole. For the first time, this agreement will enshrine the commitment of all 27 Member States to provide Ukraine with extensive support, regardless of any internal institutional changes,” President announced on X.
He added that while in Brussels, he would also like to thank European leaders for supporting Ukraine and making it possible to officially launch EU accession talks.
On June 25, EU decided to start negotiations on Ukraine and Moldova’s membership. The fisrt intergovernmental conference on Ukraine’s accession was held in Luxembourg the same day.
