President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is sure that a digital revolution has taken place in Ukraine, because now many permits or documents can be obtained online in just minutes. He stated this on May 17, during the forum “Ukraine 30. Digitalization“, – correspondent of the UATV informs.

Ukraine became the first state in the world where digital passports were equated to paper ones. According to the president, more than 10 million citizens use the portal and application “Diia”. Digitization helps fight corruption.

At the same time, Ukraine is planning to introduce new online technologies and services. In particular, on August 24, Ukraine will launch the paperless regime.

“On August 24, 2021, Ukraine will launch the paperless mode, as we promised. No paperwork for government agencies, no one will demand a piece of paper or any certificates for the provision of government services from a citizen of Ukraine,” – he said.

In addition, “the first step towards electronic democracy” will be made in Ukraine – the launch of electronic petitions in “Diia” application.
