In seven so-called swing states in the U.S., which will determine the outcome of the presidential election, voters prefer Donald Trump over Kamala Harris on handling the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.

This is according to a poll by The Wall Street Journal.

The poll showed that in these seven key states, 50% of voters believe Trump would handle Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine better, while 39% favor Harris.

When it came to the current escalation in the Middle East, 48% selected Trump as more capable of managing the crisis, compared to 33% for Harris.

Independent voters, those who are not consistent supporters of either party, also prefer Trump in both cases. Nearly half of them said Trump would handle the war in Ukraine better, and 43% believe he would be more effective in addressing the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The WSJ poll was conducted from September 28 to October 8, with 2,100 voters from the seven key swing states. The margin of error is 2.1 percentage points.

Previous polls indicated that the overall difference in ratings between the candidates in swing states remains within the margin of error.

At the national level, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll, the Democratic presidential candidate leads Donald Trump with 46% to 43%.
