{"id":960887,"date":"2024-06-29T19:35:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-29T16:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/?p=960887"},"modified":"2024-06-29T18:45:26","modified_gmt":"2024-06-29T15:45:26","slug":"us-working-on-deal-for-israel-to-send-up-to-its-8-patriots-to-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/us-working-on-deal-for-israel-to-send-up-to-its-8-patriots-to-ukraine\/","title":{"rendered":"US working on deal for Israel to send up to its 8 Patriots to Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The United States, Israel and Ukraine are discussing the possible delivery of up to eight Patriot air defense systems to Kyiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/1c938d86-ab11-4d75-b005-1e02bf9b4dda\">was reported<\/a> by the Financial Times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;While not finalised, the arrangement would likely involve the highly prized Patriot systems being sent first from Israel to the US, before being delivered to Ukraine,&#8221; reads the article, backed by &#8220;five people briefed on the negotiations&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In April, Israel indicated that it has 8 Patriot batteries that would be replaced with the newer equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such an agreement would vastly boost Ukraine&#8217;s air defense capabilities which now is believed to have 4 Patriot systems, having been provided by the US and Germany. It would also be a proper response to the Iran-Russia alliance.
