Russia must immediately cease these dangerous provocations and allow the IAEA safe passage,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In turn, Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian President&#8217;s Office,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/s\/ermaka2022\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">wrote<\/a>\u00a0on Telegram that the Russian Federation shelled Enerhodar and the territory of the ZNPP, seeking to disrupt the visit of the IAEA mission and hide the truth about its crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/russia-must-immediately-demilitarize-zaporizhzhia-npp-ukraine-s-mfa\/\">Russia must immediately demilitarize Zaporizhia NPP, \u2013 Ukraine\u2019s MFA on the eve of IAEA Mission<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Russians shelled Enerhodar and the ZNPP territory. They want to disrupt the visit of the IAEA mission. These are the actions of a terrorist state, which is afraid that the world will learn the truth. It is Russia that is responsible for everything that happens at the ZNPP and in Enerhodar. Criminals must be stopped,&#8221; Yermak emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>August 31, the IAEA mission arrived in Zaporizhia to visit the nuclear power plant in the temporarily occupied town of Enerhodar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of September 1, Russian forces shelled Enerhodar using helicopters, guns and multiple launch rocket systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it is known, the Russian military seized the ZNPP on the night of March 4. Since then, military personnel and heavy equipment have been stationed on the NPP premises. In early August, the invaders also fired several times on objects located on the ZNPP territory, as well as mined the plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the world and said that no one had ever fired on nuclear power plants. In total, there are 15 nuclear units in Ukraine.
