{"id":479115,"date":"2022-01-11T19:24:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-11T17:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/?p=479115"},"modified":"2022-01-11T18:42:00","modified_gmt":"2022-01-11T16:42:00","slug":"republican-congressmen-in-the-united-states-propose-to-declare-ukraine-a-nato-plus-country","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/republican-congressmen-in-the-united-states-propose-to-declare-ukraine-a-nato-plus-country\/","title":{"rendered":"Republican congressmen in the United States propose to declare Ukraine a NATO-plus country"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the US, a group of congressmen from the Republican Party intends to introduce a bill declaring Ukraine a &#8220;NATO-plus&#8221; country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is reported by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UA<\/a><\/strong> with reference to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golosameriki.com\/a\/us-ukraine\/6391678.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Voice of America<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the congressmen, this will significantly increase the financing of lethal military aid and initiate a check on the feasibility of declaring the Russian Federation a state sponsor of terrorism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDiplomacy has little chance of success unless it is approached from a position of strength &#8230; <strong>Vladimir Putin<\/strong> must take into account that Congress will not tolerate the renewal of Russia&#8217;s sphere of influence and will not allow Ukraine and our other allies and NATO partners in Central and Eastern Europe to be abandoned. Europe\u201d \u2013 said <strong>Michael McCaul<\/strong>, the main proponent of the bill, GOP representative on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill proposes to provide Ukraine with the military and diplomatic support it needs in the context of the build-up of Russian military power along its borders.
