The former president was <strong>arrested in absentia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UA<\/a> with the reference to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5-ATB7ohveo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">court decision<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026 to choose a <strong>preventive measure in the form of detention<\/strong>. After his arrest and no later than 48 hours from the moment of delivery\u2026 consider with his (Yanukovych \u2013 ed.) participation the issue of applying the chosen preventive measure\u201d \u2013 the judge announced on October 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of July 2021, a petition was submitted to High Anti-Corruption Court from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor&#8217;s Office to choose <strong>a preventive measure in the form of detention<\/strong> for former President <strong>Viktor Yanukovych<\/strong> and his son in the case of seizure of Mezhyhirya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine <strong>has completed the investigation<\/strong> of the case on the seizure of the complex of buildings of the Mezhyhirya residence. As part of this case, <strong>the suspicion<\/strong> was reported to Yanukovych in absentia.
