Ukraine celebrates the Day of the Special Forces today, July 29.<\/p>\n

The servicemen have already been congratulated by President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak, Chief of General Staff Viktor Muzhenko, and the Commander of the Joint Forces Operation Serhii Naiev<\/p>\n

“The Special Forces are the elite of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Congratulations to the servicemen,” Poroshenko wrote on Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Despite the fact that the Special Operations Forces is the youngest division of the Armed Forces, their military service does not go unnoticed in the eyes of society. The Special Operations Forces demonstrates resilience, courage and high professionalism in the fight against illegal Russian-terrorist groups in Ukrainian Donbas,”\u00a0\u00a0Groysman<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

“The motto of the servicemen of Special Operations Forces is the legendary statement of the Ukrainian Prince Svyatoslav the Brave: ‘I’m going after you,’ which signifies courage, bravery and steadfastness in danger. Soliders of the Special Operations Forces are involved in particularly risky tasks, always on the front lines of confrontation with the enemy.”<\/p>\n

“I am proud of the unique professionals who consciously and motivatedly serve in the elite unit of the Ukrainian army, the Special Operations Forces. You carry out important and dangerous tasks, courageously and boldly approaching the implementation of operational plans,” the minister of defense wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Since first days of\u00a0Russian aggression, soldiers of\u00a0these units have been demonstrating their heroism in\u00a0east of\u00a0Ukraine and accomplishing hazard combat tasks. They have demonstrated and will demonstrate the best result of\u00a0professional training. You are truly the best!\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n
