Representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the \u201c<strong>Ukrzaliznytsia<\/strong>\u201d state railroads company and representatives of the Swiss companies signed a memorandum of understanding in the President&#8217;s Office, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UA<\/a><\/strong> reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Switzerland will allocate up to <strong>500 million euros<\/strong> for the development of railway transport in Ukraine. This money will be spent to procure 30 suburban electric trains for Kyiv, the same number of trains will be distributed between Kharkiv and Dnipro cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This is not our first meeting. Such meetings are always very pleasant. And today it is, I guess, a fundamental one \u2013 it\u2019s a meeting at the beginning of our relations. I am very glad that we have a joint project. I think it will be a great signal to our countries and citizens of Ukraine so that they can see how we work together, that we are launching new infrastructure projects, new projects of the \u201cUkrzaliznytsia\u201d \u2013 said President of Ukraine <strong>Volodymyr Zelensky<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/five-countries-to-create-a-fund-to-support-ukraine\/\">Five countries to create a fund to support Ukraine<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the press service of the President&#8217;s Office, the cooperation involves not only the purchase of trains, but also localization of Stadler production (Switzerland) through the construction of a new plant in Ukraine.
