{"id":1413684,"date":"2026-07-23T14:46:32","date_gmt":"2026-07-23T11:46:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/?p=1413684"},"modified":"2026-07-23T14:46:36","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T11:46:36","slug":"rubio-on-the-anchorage-agreements-the-approach-is-unacceptable-to-ukraine-it-failed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/rubio-on-the-anchorage-agreements-the-approach-is-unacceptable-to-ukraine-it-failed\/","title":{"rendered":"Rubio on the &#8220;Anchorage Agreements&#8221;: The Approach Is Unacceptable to Ukraine, It Failed"},"content":{"rendered":" <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the approach proposed by the Russians last year in Anchorage failed, because it was unacceptable to Ukraine.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As <a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/\">UATV English <\/a>reports, Rubio said this while speaking to the press in Manila, where he held a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rubio was asked how relevant the proposals put forward by the Russians in Anchorage are today.<\/p>\n    <blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The proposals that were reported \u2014 they call it &#8216;3+2,&#8217; the division of territories \u2014 those attempts failed. Because a peace agreement cannot be concluded unless both sides agree to it, and the Ukrainians did not agree to it. That&#8217;s why those efforts produced no result,&#8221; the US Secretary of State stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that, given this, new proposals and new ideas will need to be found, &#8220;because clearly that option was unacceptable to Ukraine then, and I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s acceptable to them now either.&#8221;<\/p>\n    <blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;In fact, it&#8217;s probably even less acceptable to them now. So I believe that if peace comes, it will be thanks to some new ideas and new concepts. And we&#8217;re ready to offer some of those under the right conditions and format,&#8221; Rubio said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a reminder, Rubio held a meeting in Manila with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
