{"id":1402855,"date":"2026-07-08T17:05:00","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T14:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/?p=1402855"},"modified":"2026-07-07T11:35:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T08:35:21","slug":"reuters-u-s-holds-talks-on-producing-air-defense-missiles-in-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/reuters-u-s-holds-talks-on-producing-air-defense-missiles-in-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Reuters: U.S. Holds Talks on Producing Air Defense Missiles in Europe"},"content":{"rendered":" <p>The United States is holding talks with Germany and several other European countries on the possible joint production of AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles and the maintenance of PAC-3 missiles for Patriot air defense systems in Europe.<\/p>\n   <p>This was reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/aerospace-defense\/us-talks-europe-missile-co-production-source-says-2026-07-07\/\">Reuters<\/a>, citing a source, <a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/\">UATV English<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n   <p>The countries are expected to sign a letter of intent on joint production at the NATO defense industry forum on the sidelines of the summit in Ankara later on Tuesday, the anonymous source said.<\/p>\n   <p>Both PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems and AIM-120C-8 missiles launched by NASAMS systems and F-16 fighter jets are in high demand in Ukraine to counter Russian attacks.<\/p>\n   <p>If both projects are implemented, they could free up production capacity at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin facilities in the United States, allowing the American defense giants to expand domestic production.<\/p>\n   <p>In mid-June, U.S. President Donald Trump invoked the Defense Production Act to remove bottlenecks in weapons supplies and the development of munitions and supply chains.
