Russia\u2019s latest air attacks against Ukraine show the degree of Vladimir Putin\u2019s desperation, as he is unable to achieve results on the battlefield and is ready to accept losses of 35,000 a month. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated this today, July 6, at a press conference ahead of the summit in Ankara, FREE\u0414OM\u2019s special correspondent in Europe reports, according to UATV English.<\/a><\/p>\n

According to him, the situation is now developing in Ukraine\u2019s favor.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow desperate Putin has become because you, Ukrainians, are showing yourselves well on the battlefield. And, of course, this is terrible news for all Russian families affected by this. Putin is ready to accept that up to 35,000 of his people, mostly men in military uniform, die on the battlefield each month. This is terrible news for their families. <\/p>\n

But, of course, from a military point of view, this is important for Ukraine. You are succeeding there. You are striking the Russian economy. You are striking deep inside Russia when it comes to energy, infrastructure, and Russia\u2019s most important defense-industrial potential. And you are able on the front line to prevent major Russian offensives, as was the case a couple of months ago, when they at least achieved some progress on the front line. Now this is not happening. It is rather a deadlock situation,\u201d the NATO Secretary General emphasized.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Rutte believes that it is precisely this change in the situation in Ukraine\u2019s favor that provokes Moscow\u2019s indiscriminate attacks.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat happened last night was an indiscriminate attack on innocent civilians, on the infrastructure of Ukrainian cities. People are dying. But this is not the path by which Russia can win the war. Of course, this is terrible for those affected, and my thoughts and prayers are with them, as well as with the people in Kyiv and other cities who had to go through this. But the fact is that over the past couple of months, you are doing much better than just three or four months ago,\u201d Mark Rutte added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As previously reported, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that NATO\u2019s security is linked to Ukraine\u2019s security, and therefore allies must continue supporting Ukraine, especially its air defense system.<\/p>\n
