{"id":1401556,"date":"2026-07-05T15:05:00","date_gmt":"2026-07-05T12:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/?p=1401556"},"modified":"2026-07-05T14:02:14","modified_gmt":"2026-07-05T11:02:14","slug":"netherlands-approves-hosting-full-operational-phase-of-special-tribunal-on-russia-s-aggression","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/netherlands-approves-hosting-full-operational-phase-of-special-tribunal-on-russia-s-aggression\/","title":{"rendered":"Netherlands Approves Hosting Full Operational Phase of Special Tribunal on Russia&#8217;s Aggression"},"content":{"rendered":" <p>The Dutch government has approved hosting not only the preparatory stages but also the full operational phase of the Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced.<\/p>\n   <p>According to Sybiha, the decision means the tribunal will be able to carry out its full judicial activities on Dutch territory once the necessary legal procedures are completed,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UATV English<\/a>\u00a0reports.<\/p>\n    <blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;The Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has decided to host not only the preparatory phases of the Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine (Phase 0 \u2013 Advance Team and Phase 1 \u2013 Skeleton Tribunal), but also its fully fledged operational phase (Phase 2),&#8221; Sybiha said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n   <p>He noted that the next key step is for partner countries to complete their domestic procedures required for the Expanded Partial Agreement on the Steering Committee of the Special Tribunal to enter into force.<\/p>\n    <blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;We hope the Special Tribunal will begin exercising its jurisdiction as soon as possible and move to practical work. A solid foundation has already been established through the International Centre for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine (ICPA), which operates at Eurojust in support of the Joint Investigation Team,&#8221;
