Ukraine’s reconstruction will become the largest project of the 21st century, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said, inviting Japanese companies to participate in rebuilding the country and expanding defense cooperation.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Japanese broadcaster NHK<\/a>, Sybiha thanked Japan for its continued support, noting that Tokyo has provided Ukraine with $20 billion in financial assistance since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion,\u00a0UATV English<\/a>\u00a0reports.<\/p>\n

“Japan is one of the leaders in supporting Ukraine and has made a tremendous contribution to our resilience and ability to withstand Russian aggression,” Sybiha said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The minister highlighted Ukraine’s rapid technological progress during more than four years of war, describing the country’s combat experience and defense innovations as a unique asset.<\/p>\n

According to Sybiha, Ukraine has become a global leader in drone technologies and is ready to share its expertise, cooperate on advanced defense technologies, and launch joint defense projects with Japan.<\/p>\n

He also called on Japanese businesses to take part in Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction, particularly in rebuilding energy infrastructure, demining operations, and supplying heavy construction equipment.<\/p>\n

“Ukraine’s reconstruction will become the largest project of this century,” Sybiha said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Sybiha visited South Korea and Japan on a working trip from June 29 to July 2, where he held a series of meetings focused on strengthening security cooperation, economic ties, and support for Ukraine’s recovery.<\/p>\n
