Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine\u2019s Defense Forces destroyed more than 60,000 tons of ammunition at a Russian Baltic Fleet arsenal near St. Petersburg as part of Kyiv\u2019s long-range strike campaign against Russia\u2019s military infrastructure, UATV English<\/a> reports, citing Zelenskyy’s Telegram<\/a> channel.<\/p>\n

Speaking after a briefing from Defense Intelligence Chief Oleh Ivashchenko, Zelenskyy said the strike was among the most significant recent successes of Ukraine\u2019s long-range operations.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmong the recent successful strikes on the occupier\u2019s territory, it is worth highlighting the destruction of more than 60,000 tons of ammunition at a Baltic Fleet arsenal near St. Petersburg,\u201d Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to the president, Ukrainian intelligence has also confirmed that long-range strikes achieved their intended objectives against key Russian defense-industrial facilities. Ukrainian forces reportedly hit enterprises producing radio-electronic equipment and other critical components used by the Russian military.<\/p>\n

Zelenskyy added that Ukrainian intelligence had obtained internal Russian documents assessing the impact of Ukraine\u2019s long-range strikes. According to those assessments, Russian authorities have been forced to relocate air defense systems from other regions to Moscow and the Kerch Bridge.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of these measures is the transfer of air defense systems from Russian regions to Moscow and the Kerch Bridge. In practice, these are the two perimeters Russia has been ordered to protect at the expense of weakening other directions on its territory and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine,\u201d Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The president also received a separate intelligence briefing on Russia\u2019s missile production and strategic aviation capabilities. He indicated that Ukraine is preparing additional responses to what he described as Russia\u2019s continued efforts to prolong the war and carry out attacks against Ukrainian territory.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are preparing new, entirely justified steps in response to Russia\u2019s prolongation of the war and its strikes against Ukraine,\u201d Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He stressed that Ukraine has put forward substantive diplomatic proposals to end the conflict and argued that responsibility for prolonging the war lies with Russia\u2019s refusal to engage in meaningful diplomacy.<\/p>\n
