On Monday morning, authorities confirmed that four people were killed and 25 injured as a result of a large-scale Russian attack on Kyiv. Among the injured are two children, UATV English<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

The information was reported by Kyiv City Military Administration Chief Tymur Tkachenko<\/a>, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko,<\/a> and Ukraine\u2019s State Emergency Service.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, we have information about two people killed as a result of the enemy attack,\u201d Tkachenko initially said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Earlier, officials had also reported 23 injured people, including a pregnant woman and a child.<\/p>\n

Later, it was confirmed that the death toll in Kyiv had risen to four.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccording to updated information as of 5:40 a.m., 23 people have been injured in Kyiv, including one child. Tragically, the number of fatalities has increased to four,\u201d Tkachenko stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Klitschko noted that the massive enemy attack caused damage and fires in nearly every district of the city. Emergency and rescue services are currently operating at around 50 locations.<\/p>\n

According to rescuers, a total of 25 people were injured, including two children.<\/p>\n

During the night of June 15, Russia launched a large-scale combined attack on Kyiv. Explosions were heard across the capital, and fires broke out in several locations, including residential buildings and the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. Parts of the city were left without electricity, affecting more than 140 households.<\/p>\n

A direct strike also caused a fire at the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. According to emergency responders, the fire on the roof of the Dormition Cathedral covered an area of 800 square meters.<\/p>\n

Bishop Avraamii, head of the Holy Dormition Kyiv Pechersk Lavra of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, said that following the enemy strike and the subsequent fire, ancient icons and other religious relics were successfully rescued from the monastery complex.<\/p>\n
