Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Sky News <\/a>that Ukraine will continue resisting Russian aggression and strengthen its military capabilities, UATV English<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

“We will not simply die in silence. We will fight back. We will be strong, and we will grow stronger every day,” Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The president also emphasized that Kyiv intends to expand its long-range strike capabilities and continue increasing attacks against military targets inside Russian territory as part of Ukraine’s defense strategy.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian President Vladimir Putin should respond to his open letter if there is to be any greater chance of ending the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Speaking in an interview with Sky News, Zelenskyy argued that the letter was intended not only for Putin but also for the Russian public.<\/p>\n

“An open letter means that Putin has to respond to what is important for his own society. Because his society lives in some kind of fantasy world where they supposedly did not attack anyone, where this is not a war of aggression. That is not serious,” Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Ukrainian president also suggested that Putin has become less vocal about the war because of Russia’s growing battlefield losses.<\/p>\n

“They have blocked the internet and many other things. We do not have many opportunities to send signals to that country \u2014 the aggressor state that brought war to our country,” he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Zelenskyy also stated that he would agree to freezing the front line where it currently stands if that were the fastest route to peace negotiations.<\/p>\n

“The idea is not simply to freeze the conflict. The fastest way is to stop the fighting and move the process into the diplomatic sphere. Remaining on the current positions would give Ukrainians more opportunities to save their children and bring our soldiers home. That is important for us,” he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Earlier, Zelenskyy published an open letter to Putin proposing to end the war “in a format between you and me” and calling for a specific date for a direct meeting.<\/p>\n

The Kremlin later acknowledged receiving the message, while Putin said he had only “briefly glanced through” the letter and insisted that he had “never refused” a meeting with Zelenskyy, but saw no point in “going around in circles.”<\/p>\n

Putin also stated that hostilities would end only when Russia achieves its stated objectives and told Russian troops: “Keep working, brothers.”<\/p>\n

In response, Zelenskyy described Putin’s reaction as “weak” and argued that “Russia must have less money, and pressure on Russia must increase.”<\/p>\n
