The State Enterprise \u201cThe International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine\u201d (IBMPU) has launched the French-language YouTube channel UATV Fran\u00e7ais<\/a>. The platform has already gained its first thousand subscribers, while videos on the channel have surpassed 130,000 views.<\/em><\/p>\n

On UATV Fran\u00e7ais, viewers can watch the broadcaster\u2019s original content adapted into French, including major news on steps toward achieving peace in Ukraine, the development of cooperation between Ukraine and its partners \u2014 particularly in the defense sector \u2014 as well as statements and addresses by the President of Ukraine and world leaders. UATV Fran\u00e7ais will also introduce French-speaking audiences to various aspects of life in Ukraine, stories of the resilience of Ukrainian society, and cultural and social initiatives.<\/p>\n

The launch of the French-language channel became a logical step in developing the UATV ecosystem in order to deliver pro-Ukrainian messages to international audiences as broadly as possible. French is currently an official language in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, and many African countries. The new UATV Fran\u00e7ais<\/a> platform is reaching precisely this target audience: 40.3% of views come from France, 15% from Canada, and 4.4% from Belgium. Overall, foreign audiences account for 98.7% of total viewership. Among the top cities by views are Paris (France), Abidjan (C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire), Montreal (Canada), Quebec City (Canada), and Lom\u00e9 (Togo).<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter launching Turkish-, German-, Polish-, and other-language versions, we began developing the French-speaking direction \u2014 not only searching for new platforms, but also expanding our language palette to convey the truth about Ukraine, Russian aggression, and our European path in a language the world understands. Currently, the UATV Fran\u00e7ais project operates in test mode: we are studying content consumption culture in French-speaking countries and are already seeing the first positive results.<\/p>\n

Active audience feedback during the testing phase proves how much honest news about Ukraine is in demand. In addition, we potentially view UATV Fran\u00e7ais as an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic and cultural ties and attract new allies and partners for the future reconstruction and modernization of our state. We want the world to learn about Ukraine without intermediaries \u2014 directly, honestly, and in the audience\u2019s native language,\u201d said Vadym Lubchak<\/strong>, head of the digital direction at the State Enterprise \u201cThe International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
