{"id":1357598,"date":"2026-04-28T11:31:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T08:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/?p=1357598"},"modified":"2026-04-28T00:50:40","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T21:50:40","slug":"kyiv-and-warsaw-to-develop-polish-model-for-defense-cooperation-by-june-kamyshin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/kyiv-and-warsaw-to-develop-polish-model-for-defense-cooperation-by-june-kamyshin\/","title":{"rendered":"Kyiv and Warsaw to develop \u201cPolish model\u201d for defense cooperation by June \u2013 Kamyshin"},"content":{"rendered":" <p>Kyiv and Warsaw will develop a \u201cPolish model\u201d of mutual cooperation in the defense industry by the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026) at the end of June in Gda\u0144sk, where the first contracts in the defense sector are expected to be signed, <a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/\">UATV English<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n   <p>This was stated by Oleksandr Kamyshin, Strategic Advisor to the President of Ukraine, in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrinform.net\/rubric-economy\/4117045-kyiv-and-warsaw-to-develop-polish-model-for-defense-cooperation-by-june-kamyshin.html\">comment to an Ukrinform<\/a> correspondent on the sidelines of the conference \u201cRoad to URC: Security and Defense Dimension\u201d held Monday in Rzesz\u00f3w.<\/p>\n   <p>According to him, Ukraine\u2019s defense industry has become a strong strategic sector. Kyiv expects to have \u201cat least 10 joint ventures between Ukrainian and European defense companies in Europe\u201d this year.<\/p>\n   <p>He noted that the first joint plant in Germany is already operational.<\/p>\n   <p>\u201cUnfortunately, as of today, we do not have many joint developments with Poland. Both we and the Polish side are looking for ways to make this happen,\u201d Kamyshin emphasized.<\/p>\n   <p>He added that the conference in Rzesz\u00f3w, as a preparatory step toward the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gda\u0144sk in June, supported by Poland\u2019s government commissioner for Ukraine\u2019s reconstruction Pawe\u0142 Kowal, is \u201ca good step\u201d in that direction.<\/p>\n   <p>\u201cWe had a round of negotiations yesterday, and we will have another one today, aimed at helping the two industries find ways to cooperate,\u201d the presidential adviser stressed.<\/p>\n   <p>He expressed hope that, at the very least, by the conference in Gda\u0144sk, the Ukrainian side will have developed with Poland the so-called \u201cPolish model,\u201d which will be announced there.<\/p>\n   <p>\u201cThis way, we will have the first agreements signed in Gda\u0144sk,\u201d Kamyshin concluded.<\/p>\n   <p>As reported, the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026), which will take place on June 25\u2013-26 in Gda\u0144sk, will focus on five main thematic areas.
