The state enterprise \u201cThe International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine\u201d created Instagram<\/a> and Facebook<\/a> pages of the project FREE\u0414\u041e\u041c.\u041aA\u0412\u041a\u0410\u0417<\/a>, which allows scaling the platform for covering topics that unite Ukraine and the Caucasus in the struggle against a common enemy, and to expand audience access to information about the colonial policy of the Russian Federation. In the first weeks of operation, the Instagram account FREE\u0414\u041e\u041c.\u041aA\u0412\u041a\u0410\u0417 gained more than 3.3 million views<\/strong> and more than 2.3 thousand followers, the Facebook account \u2013 3 million views <\/strong>and 3.3 thousand followers*.<\/em><\/p>\n

The FREE\u0414\u041e\u041c.\u041aA\u0412\u041a\u0410\u0417 platforms on Instagram and Facebook publish key materials of the base YouTube channel FREE\u0414\u041e\u041c.\u041aA\u0412\u041a\u0410\u0417<\/a>: thematic news, analytics, materials about Russia\u2019s destruction of national identity and historical memory of the subjugated peoples of the Caucasus, exclusive comments and analysis from independent and opposition figures of national liberation movements, public and political figures who are in exile and advocate for liberation from Moscow\u2019s rule. Among them in particular \u2014 public figure of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and human rights defender Musa Lomaev, President of the World Congress of the Peoples of Dagestan Akhmat Akhmedov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria Aset Sabb, head of the Circassian Center in New York (USA) Marianna Sheru, representative of the Sheikh Mansur Chechen battalion in Europe Ali Bakaev, a Muslim and volunteer from Turkmenistan, fighter of the Abu Yunus battalion.<\/p>\n

Special attention of the audience is attracted by materials that criticize the Kremlin and regional authorities, highlight Russia\u2019s oppression of indigenous peoples, in particular within the ranks of the Russian army, centuries-long imposition of Russian identity and attempts to erase historical memory, as well as the participation of representatives in Russia\u2019s war against Ukraine on the side of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

In the first weeks of operation, the Instagram account FREE\u0414\u041e\u041c.\u041aA\u0412\u041a\u0410\u0417<\/strong> has already collected more than 3.3 million views<\/strong>, of which 94.6% \u2013 international audience: users from Russia \u2014 65.4%, from Kazakhstan \u2013 9.8%, Uzbekistan \u2013 3.4%. Among the cities with the highest views are Grozny, Moscow, Yakutsk, Nalchik, Makhachkala, Sheremetyevsky (Moscow region). The Facebook page<\/strong> has currently accumulated more than 3 million views, up to 70% \u2013 from abroad. Among the top cities on Facebook \u2013 Moscow, Tbilisi, Yerevan, Baku, Almaty.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur content is focused on topics where the narratives of Russian state propaganda diverge from reality, which people in the Caucasus regions see and experience every day. It is based on facts, figures, testimonies and those questions to which answers are most often not given in the local information space. We work at the intersection of two realities: the one shaped by Russian state media, and the one in which people in the Caucasus live. For many, this is an opportunity to form a holistic vision of events \u2014 without distortions and with straightforward presentation of facts,\u201d notes the head of the FREE\u0414\u041e\u041c.\u041aA\u0412\u041a\u0410\u0417 project Serhii Melnyk.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cUkraine today acts as a symbol of successful resistance to Russia\u2019s imperial pressure, and for the peoples of the Caucasus this experience has particular value. High engagement indicators on our platforms prove: there is a stable demand for objective information. Audience trust indicates that our resources have become an effective alternative to the distorted media space, filling a critical niche for the region,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The highest views on Instagram \u2014 1.2 million<\/strong> \u2014 were collected by a video about an inspection of the center of Grozny by Ramzan Kadyrov<\/strong><\/a> together with his son Adam. In the frame \u2014 a demonstrative \u201cinspection\u201d of the city: orderly shop windows, neat streets and demonstrative order, which sharply contrasts with everyday reality that is not publicly spoken about. 92.4% of views \u2013 from abroad: 62.2% \u2014 from Russia, 7.5% \u2014 from Kazakhstan, 3% \u2014 from Uzbekistan. The material about flooding in Dagestan, due to which residents of the region remain with destroyed houses<\/strong><\/a> and without proper assistance, while significant funds go to the war, collected 790 thousand views<\/strong>: 98.2% \u2013 from abroad, 89.3% \u2014 from Russia. More than 585 thousand views<\/strong> were received by a video about how in Ukraine the myth of Russian propaganda about the \u201cgreatness of the Russian army\u201d and promises of \u201cquick victories\u201d<\/strong><\/a> from the Russian leadership failed: 96.6% of views <\/strong>\u2013 from abroad, 89.3% \u2014 from Russia, 4.1% – from Kazakhstan. More than 250 thousand views were gained by a report about the practice of collective punishment in the Caucasus<\/strong><\/a>, when due to the actions of one person relatives suffer, who are forced to publicly apologize on camera, using this to suppress dissent and destroy family ties: 98% – international audience, 45.3% – Russian Federation, 30.3% – Kazakhstan, 6.6% – Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n

On the Facebook page FREE\u0414\u041e\u041c.\u041aA\u0412\u041a\u0410\u0417, the highest views during the first weeks were also received by materials about the lack of assistance<\/strong><\/a> to victims after flooding in Dagestan, a report about the destruction of propaganda myths<\/strong><\/a>, as well as materials about mass purges and executions practiced by the Russian army in Chechnya.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Let us recall,<\/a> the state enterprise \u201cThe International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine\u201d launched the YouTube channel \u201cFREE\u0414\u041e\u041c.\u041aA\u0412\u041a\u0410\u0417\u201d<\/a> with the aim of conveying the truth about Russia\u2019s colonizing policy towards the peoples of the Caucasus. Currently, FREE\u0414\u041e\u041c.\u041aA\u0412\u041a\u0410\u0417 has received more than 85 thousand subscribers and more than 85 million views.<\/strong> In the summer of last year, the state enterprise \u201cIBMPU\u201d also launched the FREE\u0414\u041e\u041c.\u041aA\u0412\u041a\u0410\u0417 page on the TikTok <\/a>platform, which has already been viewed almost 9.2 million times in several months, and the number of channel subscribers reached 17.5 thousand.<\/p>\n
