{"id":1343846,"date":"2026-04-08T08:07:06","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T05:07:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/?p=1343846"},"modified":"2026-04-08T08:07:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T05:07:10","slug":"united-states-and-iran-agree-to-ceasefire-israel-says-it-doesn-t-cover-entire-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/united-states-and-iran-agree-to-ceasefire-israel-says-it-doesn-t-cover-entire-region\/","title":{"rendered":"United States and Iran Agree to Ceasefire; Israel Says It Doesn\u2019t Cover Entire Region"},"content":{"rendered":" <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Representatives of the United States and Iran have agreed to establish a two-week ceasefire, <a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/\">UATV English <\/a>reports.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, whose country acted as a mediator in the negotiations.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump said he agreed to halt attacks on Iran after Tehran consented to the \u201cfull, immediate, and safe\u201d reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Araghchi stated that for two weeks, safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz would be ensured in coordination with Iran\u2019s Armed Forces and with \u201cdue consideration of technical limitations.\u201d<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Trump, Pakistan\u2019s prime minister and army chief had urged him to \u201crestrain the destructive force heading toward Iran.\u201d Earlier, Trump had threatened to \u201creturn Iran to the Stone Age\u201d and even \u201cdestroy its civilization\u201d if it refused to make concessions.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The United States presented a 15-point plan to end the war, while Iran submitted its own 10-point plan. Trump said the proposals \u201care a workable basis for negotiations.\u201d<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAlmost all key points of past disputes have been agreed between the United States and Iran, but the two-week period will allow us to finalize and complete the agreement,\u201d Trump wrote.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sharif stated that the ceasefire takes effect immediately and applies everywhere, including Lebanon and other countries in the region. He also invited delegations to Islamabad on April 10 for further talks on a final agreement.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran but emphasized that it does not extend to Lebanon, contradicting Pakistan\u2019s statements.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIsrael supports U.S. efforts to ensure that Iran no longer poses a nuclear, missile, or terrorist threat to America, Israel, Iran\u2019s Arab neighbors, and the entire world. The United States has told Israel it seeks to achieve these shared goals in future negotiations,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Donald Trump declared a \u201cgreat day for peace\u201d and highlighted the role of the United States in the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The U.S. President said that Iran is ready for de-escalation and that the situation in the Middle East could stabilize.<\/p>\n    <blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIran wants this to happen \u2014 they are already tired of it! Just like everyone else!\u201d the American leader stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump also said that the United States plans to help regulate shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
