The Russian oil refinery Kirishinefteorgsintez (KINEF) in the city of Kirishi, which was attacked by drones last week, may partially resume production within a month, but this will depend on how quickly Russian ports can restore oil shipments.<\/p>\n

This is reported by Reuters<\/a> citing two industry sources, according to UATV English.<\/a><\/p>\n

The sources noted that the partial restoration of one of Russia\u2019s largest refineries will allow secondary units of the plant to produce motor fuel.<\/p>\n

Within a month, according to the sources, three out of four main units are expected to resume operation, representing a combined nominal capacity of about 60% of the refinery\u2019s main capacity.<\/p>\n

At the same time, fuel exports remain difficult due to recent drone attacks on ports in the Baltic Sea.<\/p>\n

According to industry sources, the Kirishinefteorgsintez refinery stopped operations on Thursday after drone attacks caused fires in certain parts of the plant.<\/p>\n

The refinery produced 2 million tons of gasoline, 7.1 million tons of diesel fuel, 6.1 million tons of fuel oil, and 600,000 tons of bitumen.<\/p>\n

As reported, the Kirishinefteorgsintez (KINEF) refinery in Kirishi, Leningrad Oblast, was last attacked by drones on March 26.<\/p>\n
