According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, peace negotiations involving Ukraine, the United States, and Russia are not in a deadlock.<\/p>\n

As UATV English<\/a> reports, he said this while answering journalists\u2019 questions online on Monday.<\/p>\n

The President noted that the trilateral meeting of negotiators is being postponed because \u201cthe focus of the United States of America today is on Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also briefly recalled what has happened recently in the negotiation process.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs of today, America proposed \u2014 we are grateful to them \u2014 to meet in the United States of America. We supported it\u2026 Russia said that it does not meet in America. Russia proposed Turkey or Switzerland\u2026 America said that currently the negotiation group is not leaving the United States of America. We are ready to support the United States, we are ready to support a meeting both in Switzerland and in Turkey, and wherever partners are ready. Now the ball is on the side of both the United States of America and Russia,\u201d Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n

At the same time, despite the fact that trilateral negotiations have been on pause after the start of the war against Iran on February 28, the President does not consider that they have reached a dead end.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not consider that we have a dead end. A dead end after which what should we all do? Surrender, relax? Let Russia surrender \u2014 we will not. We must organize a trilateral meeting and must move forward along the diplomatic track, doing at least everything for this,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

In order to be strong at the negotiating table, one must be strong on the battlefield, Zelenskyy emphasized.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am grateful to the Armed Forces. Today we are much stronger than in the last six months, so I am very grateful. Well done,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhii Tykhyi, stated on March 25 that Russia is blocking the peace process, but despite this, recent negotiations between the Ukrainian and American delegations in the United States were substantive.<\/p>\n

On March 21, the Ukrainian negotiation team was in Miami, where it held talks with representatives of the U.S. President regarding ending the war.<\/p>\n

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers the words of the head of the German defense concern Rheinmetall to be strange, after he compared Ukrainian drones to a \u201cLego game\u201d created by \u201chousewives with 3D printers.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an interview with The Atlantic<\/a>, Armin Papperger stated that there is nothing innovative in Ukrainian drones and compared their production to playing with a Lego constructor. When speaking about Ukrainian defense companies Fire Point and Skyfall, Papperger called them \u201chousewives with 3D printers.\u201d<\/p>\n

The President noted that such a statement \u201csounds strange.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf every housewife of Ukraine really can produce drones, then every housewife of Ukraine can be the CEO of Rheinmetall. And I congratulate [them] on this level \u2014 the high level of our Ukrainian defense-industrial complex,\u201d the President reacted ironically.<\/p>\n

He added that today competition should be not in rhetoric, but in technologies and results.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd we demonstrate the results of these technologies every day \u2014 on the battlefield, on land, and in the sky, you know, and at sea. I am confident that our defense-industrial complex will take, and is already taking, its place in the world. Regarding systems, some of our systems, a systemic approach \u2014 I believe that we are exclusive. Only we have the corresponding experience,\u201d President Zelenskyy noted.<\/p>\n

After Papperger\u2019s interview, which caused resonance, Rheinmetall stated that it respects the efforts of Ukrainians in defending against the Russian invasion, especially under conditions of limited resources.<\/p>\n

It is recalled that Rheinmetall has repeatedly supplied weapons for use in Ukraine. For example, in October 2025, Rheinmetall announced the transfer to Ukraine of additional air defense systems Skyranger 35.<\/p>\n

In January, Rheinmetall announced that at the beginning of 2026 Ukraine is to receive the first combat vehicles Lynx KF41.<\/p>\n
