That is why today we are announcing new support and will continue to stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes,\u201d Starmer said in a statement.<\/p>\n   <p>The support package announced today includes:<\/p>\n   <p>&#x25aa;&#xfe0f; <strong>\u00a320 million<\/strong> in new funding for emergency energy support to protect and repair the energy grid and provide additional electricity generation capacity \u2014 addressing damage caused by Russia\u2019s brutal attacks this winter and helping secure Ukraine\u2019s energy systems for the next winter.<\/p>\n   <p>&#x25aa;&#xfe0f; <strong>\u00a35.7 million<\/strong> in humanitarian assistance for frontline communities, those in need of evacuation, or those affected by airstrikes or internal displacement.<\/p>\n   <p>&#x25aa;&#xfe0f; <strong>Medical advisory support<\/strong> \u2014 highly qualified teams of British military surgeons, nurses, and physiotherapists will advise medical personnel in Ukraine. They will accompany Ukrainian teams performing complex battlefield surgeries, using the UK\u2019s expertise in trauma surgery and treatment of war injuries to help Ukrainian servicemembers return to duty or rebuild their lives as civilians.<\/p>\n   <p>&#x25aa;&#xfe0f; <strong>Helicopter pilot training<\/strong> \u2014 Ukrainian pilots are currently training at a British airbase to become helicopter flight instructors. This marks the first time the UK has offered helicopter instructor training to Ukraine.
