Russia is not winning on the battlefield, U.S. President Donald Trump\u2019s Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, said at a conference in Kyiv, noting that the American leader had asked him this very question ahead of his summit with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIs Russia winning? That\u2019s a great question, because President Trump asked me the same thing in the Oval Office about six weeks ago. The very same question. And I firmly answered: \u2018Mr. President, don\u2019t just listen to me. Your Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Dan Keane, is waiting outside. He\u2019s standing by the car. Invite him in, ask him about it. He is your chief military adviser,\u201d Kellogg said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He noted that both he and Keane told Trump the same thing \u2014 Russia is not winning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stressed that Russia is, in fact, losing this war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf Putin were winning, he would be in Kyiv, west of the Dnipro, in Odesa, and he would have changed the government. In reality, Russia is losing this war,\u201d Kellogg said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Kellogg also said he had a discussion in the Oval Office about the so-called \u201csuperiority\u201d of Russian troops, Clash Report<\/em><\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey were talking about the \u2018superiority\u2019 of Russian troops. I said: \u2018We would kick their ass,\u2019\u201d Kellogg noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, Russian soldiers are not as good as dictator Vladimir Putin claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor this, I give credit to the Ukrainian military. I don\u2019t think anyone should be afraid of Russian troops. I don\u2019t believe they have the ability to reach Berlin or anywhere else,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
