During a massive overnight air attack on Ukraine, Russian strike drones entered Polish airspace \u2014 international airports “Rzesz\u00f3w-Jasionka,” “Lublin,” and both airports in Warsaw were temporarily closed due to “unplanned military activity.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poland\u2019s Armed Forces Operational Command officially confirmed the violation of the country\u2019s airspace and urged people to remain at home until the military operation is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“An operation is underway aimed at identifying and neutralizing the objects. By order of the Commander of the Operational Staff, weapons were used, and services are continuing actions to locate the downed objects,” the statement reads.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that he had informed NATO Secretary General about the violation of Polish airspace by “objects” and about the actions taken against them, but he did not specify that these “objects” were Russian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U.S. Congressman and member of the House Armed Services Committee Joe Wilson called the attack “an act of war” and urged Trump to impose tough sanctions against Russia and step up military support for Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amid the ongoing operation to neutralize Russian UAVs that entered Polish airspace, Poland\u2019s territorial defense forces were asked to be prepared for possible deployment on a shorter notice than the standard procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polish President Karol Nawrocki reported that he is in constant contact with the defense minister and military leadership in connection with the violation of the country\u2019s airspace by Russian drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Soon I will hold a briefing at the National Security Bureau, attended by the head of government. The security of our Homeland is the main priority and requires close cooperation,” he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Polish Armed Forces Operational Command stated that it was specifically Russian drones that violated Poland\u2019s airspace, calling it an act of aggression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to monitoring, last night Ukraine experienced the most powerful missile attack in the past four months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The country\u2019s security is our top priority,” said Polish President Karol Nawrocki regarding the violation of airspace by Russian drones.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He said that since last night he has been in constant contact with the defense minister and military leadership.
