{"id":1182427,"date":"2025-07-10T16:29:55","date_gmt":"2025-07-10T13:29:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/?p=1182427"},"modified":"2025-07-10T16:30:00","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T13:30:00","slug":"merz-germany-ready-to-purchase-patriot-systems-from-u-s-for-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/merz-germany-ready-to-purchase-patriot-systems-from-u-s-for-ukraine\/","title":{"rendered":"Merz: Germany Ready to Purchase Patriot Systems from U.S. for Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that his country is prepared to purchase U.S.-made Patriot air defense systems and transfer them to Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His remarks, made on the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome, were reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/\"><em>Reuters<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Merz said that last week he asked U.S. President Donald Trump to supply Patriot systems to Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe are also ready to purchase additional Patriot systems from the United States in order to provide them to Ukraine,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, the Chancellor acknowledged that the U.S. military also needs these systems, but noted, <em>\u201cthey have plenty of them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIt has not yet been decided whether the delivery will take place,\u201d Merz added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, it was reported that Germany was engaged in \u201cintensive negotiations\u201d with the United States regarding the provision of Patriot systems to Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <em>Axios<\/em>, Trump has already ordered the delivery of 10 Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine and is pressuring Germany to sell one of its Patriot batteries to Kyiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/zelenskyy-in-rome-urges-partners-to-rebuild-ukraine-with-a-marshall-plan-approach\/\">Zelenskyy in Rome Urges Partners to Rebuild Ukraine with a \u201cMarshall Plan\u201d Approach<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that his country is prepared to purchase &#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":31,"featured_media":1143815,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[49,36415],"tags":[76,78],"sources":[],"class_list":["post-1182427","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-en","category-11473-news-en","tag-glavnoe-en","tag-homepage-en"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
