as reported by Ukrinform<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cA short time ago, the U.S. military carried out massive, precision strikes on the three key nuclear facilities of the Iranian regime \u2014 Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the President, people have heard these names for years as Iran built this \u201chorribly destructive enterprise.\u201d Therefore, Trump emphasized, the U.S. goal was to destroy Iran\u2019s nuclear capabilities and halt the nuclear threat posed by what he called the world\u2019s number one state sponsor of terrorism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTonight, I can report to the world that these strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran\u2019s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated,\u201d the American leader stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He made this announcement in the presence of Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump stressed that Iran, which terrorizes the Middle East region, must now agree to peace and warned of new attacks: \u201cIf they do not, the future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the President, for four decades Iran has carried out terror attacks against the U.S. and Israel, planted bombs resulting in thousands of American and Israeli deaths, and caused hundreds of thousands of casualties throughout the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The U.S. President also congratulated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the success: \u201cWe worked as a team \u2014 like, perhaps, no team has ever worked before. And we\u2019ve gone a long way toward erasing this horrible threat to Israel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also thanked the Israeli military \u201cfor a wonderful job they\u2019ve done,\u201d as well as the American patriots who piloted the bombers \u2014 and all U.S. military personnel. Trump emphasized that the world had not seen an operation like this in decades and expressed hope that such action would not be necessary again. However, he also noted that Iran still has \u201cmany targets left,\u201d besides those hit today, which were the most difficult to strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut if peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed, and skill. Most of them can be taken out in a matter of minutes,\u201d Trump declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also announced a press conference at 8:00 (15:00 Kyiv time) at the Pentagon with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Kane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As reported earlier, American bombers carried out strikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran \u2014 Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. According to Trump, the aircraft successfully completed their mission and returned home safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following U.S. airstrikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran, the country’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, referred to the UN Charter and declared that Iran reserves “all possible options for defense.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“In accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions granting the right to legitimate self-defense, Iran reserves all possible options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people,” he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the successful U.S. military operation targeting key Iranian nuclear sites, Donald Trump said that Tehran must immediately agree to peace. Otherwise, he warned, future airstrikes would be “much more extensive.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Trump for the decisive U.S. actions in destroying Iran’s key nuclear facilities. He called the operation “historic” and urged for peace through a show of force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
