{"id":1111571,"date":"2025-03-13T15:31:27","date_gmt":"2025-03-13T13:31:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/?p=1111571"},"modified":"2025-03-13T15:31:31","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T13:31:31","slug":"trump-threatens-200-tariff-on-wine-if-the-eu-does-not-remove-the-whiskey-tariff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uatv.ua\/en\/trump-threatens-200-tariff-on-wine-if-the-eu-does-not-remove-the-whiskey-tariff\/","title":{"rendered":"Trump threatens 200% tariff on wine if the EU does not remove the whiskey tariff"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>American President Donald Trump stated on Thursday, March 13, that he would impose a 200% tariff on all wines and other alcoholic products from European Union countries if the EU does not remove its tariff on whiskey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He wrote about this on the social network <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/114155003492555395\">TruthSocial.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump claimed that the European Union is &#8220;one of the most hostile and unlawful tax and tariff entities in the world, created with the sole purpose of taking advantage of the U.S., having just imposed a disgusting 50% tariff on whiskey.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He warned that if this tariff &#8220;is not immediately removed,&#8221; the U.S. will &#8220;soon impose a 200% tariff on all wines, champagne, and alcoholic products originating from France and other EU-represented countries.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This will be great for the wine and champagne business in the U.S.,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As is known, Trump previously announced his intention to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum exports to the U.S. at a rate of 25%.
