Russia, by carrying out rocket attacks at night, is trying to cause panic among the people. This was announced today, on May 29, on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel by the head of the Joint Coordinating Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalia Gumenyuk.
“Missile attacks of the enemy, massive and pinpoint strikes are aimed not only at fire damage. As a rule, these attacks are also quite deep in the conditions of a hybrid war and are aimed at the psyche of people, including the morale and psychological state of the population of the main regions of Ukraine, ”she noted.
Gumenyuk drew attention to the fact that people living in relative proximity to the front line adapt over time and are no longer so aggressive, not so wary of constant alarms, shelling, they learn to identify exits and arrivals by ear.
“For those who live in deeper rear regions, the opposite happens – after a while, in the absence of such signals, in the absence of massive attacks, people calm down, realize their everyday life and adapt to the realities in which they live, lose vigilance. Therefore, such a panic that occurs in the middle of the night during missile strikes keeps people in a very deep and long tone, tension, people go to work without sleep,” the speaker said.
She added that in terrorist organizations, sleep deprivation torture is one of the worst.
Recall that the Ukrainian air defense successfully repelled the attack of Russian troops, which this afternoon, May 29, fired 11 cruise and ballistic missiles in Kyiv: Iskander-K and Iskander-M. Fragments of six rockets fell in three districts of the capital.
