Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak said that the Ukrainian authorities are doing everything necessary to ensure that our country and the Armed Forces are ready for any scenario.
This is reported by UA with reference to the Office of the President.
“We are taking all necessary measures to be ready for any development of events. But at the same time, we remain with a cool head in order to minimize the risks for people. Panic has never been a good friend to anyone. Maintaining a balanced position is necessary in order to objectively assess the situation and achieve what is in our interests” – he said.
Andriy Yermak stressed that the Ukrainian services, together with international partners, are closely monitoring the developments near the borders of Ukraine, and the authorities have complete and objective information about the situation.
He drew attention to the number of recent visits of representatives of foreign states to Ukraine:
- Anthony Blinken’s meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy;
- visit of political advisers to the German Chancellor and the President of France.
As Andriy Yermak noted, preparations are underway for a meeting of political advisers to the leaders of the countries participating in the Normandy format, which should take place before the end of this month.
Recall that Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Magdalena Andersson. The head of state informed the interlocutor about the security situation around Ukraine, as well as about the steps taken to achieve peace within all existing negotiation formats.
