Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he is ready for a new meeting with Donald Trump if he is invited for a “constructive dialogue.”

“If I am invited for a constructive dialogue, to solve real problems, to discuss serious questions and receive real, decisive answers, I will be there,” the President of Ukraine said during a conversation with British journalists.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says there is no chance for territorial concessions on the Ukrainian side, emphasizing that Ukrainians will never recognize temporarily occupied territories as Russian.

He stated this during a conversation with journalists at Stansted Airport completing his visit to the UK, Ukrinform reports with reference to Sky News, Ukrinform reports.

Zelenskyy noted that in the issue of territories “we need to proceed from the understanding of international law.” According to him, “We don’t want anything that doesn’t belong to us, but when you occupy something or when you break the law, everything will come back to you.”

He emphasized that Ukraine will never recognize the occupied territories as Russian: “For us, this will be temporary occupations.”

At the same time, the President stressed that he was “ready to sign” a Ukrainian-American agreement on minerals development even after the last meeting with Donald Trump in the White House, which ended early.

Commenting on the disagreements that arose during the talks in the Oval Office, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that he simply wants “the Ukrainian position to be heard” and the partners “to remember who the aggressor is in this war.”

Regarding the agreement to end the war, the President of Ukraine emphasized that it should be “honest,” “fair,” and “stable”, and that security guarantees should be “very specific.” In this regard, he expressed hope that such guarantees should make any other aggression by Russia impossible. However, if it comes to this, Moscow should feel a “strong response” from Ukraine and its partners.

At the same time, he said, there is still a “long way to go” to reach the end of the war with Russia.

Zelenskyy also called the United States an “important” partner, emphasizing that Ukraine is cooperating with the United States, which continues to send aid in the form of weapons approved by the U.S. Congress. He expressed gratitude to the American people for their support, adding that hopes for new assistance to come from the U.S.

Zelenskyy explained that defense production in Ukraine, as well as in Europe, has increased, but the Ukrainian side also “counts” on U.S. assistance.

In response to a question about how the meeting with King Charles went, the President of Ukraine emphasized that he had a “very good” meeting with His Majesty, and that the Royal Family supports Ukraine.

As reported earlier, a meeting of international leaders on support for Ukraine was held in London on March 2. On February 28, the President of Ukraine was on a visit to the United States.
