President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Defense of Denmark Troels Lund Poulsen.
The Head of State thanked Denmark, the Prime Minister, the Government and the Parliament of the state for their significant assistance to Ukraine.
“Denmark has had a respectful attitude towards Ukraine and Ukrainians from the very beginning, and we are very grateful for all your support. We feel it through the people, through your attitude towards our people, society, and forced migrants. Of course, we also feel it on the battlefield, and this is a priority for us,” the President said.
Troels Lund Poulsen stressed that he had come to Kyiv together with the Members of Parliament from different parties to personally see what had been achieved in Ukraine due to Denmark’s assistance and to understand the needs and possible directions of increasing support for Ukraine’s defense capability.
The Head of State praised Denmark’s leading role in the transfer of the first F-16 combat aircraft to Ukraine and thanked for the training of Ukrainian pilots and engineering personnel.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of arms production to meet the priority needs of the Defense Forces.
